Itinerary Detail

  • Arrive at Haridwar and depart for Barkot, located at the foot of Yamunotri.
  • Drive via Mussoorie and visit Kempt Falls on the way.
  • On arrival at Barkot, check into your hotel/camp.
  • Rest of the day free to relax and prepare for the Yamunotri trek the next day.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Barkot.

  • After breakfast, drive to Hanumanchatti (40 km), then Janki Chatti (5 km).
  • Start the 5 km trek to Yamunotri Temple (doli or horse hire at extra cost).
  • Yamunotri is the source of the Yamuna River, surrounded by lush greenery, conifers, and rhododendrons.
  • Take a holy dip in the Yamuna River and perform pooja at the temple.
  • Return to Barkot the same way.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Barkot.

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Uttarkashi.
  • On arrival, check into your hotel.
  • Visit Vishwanath Temple in the evening.

  • After breakfast, drive to Gangotri, located at an altitude of 3048 meters.
  • Take a holy dip in the sacred Ganges river (Bhagirathi at its origin) and visit the Gangotri Temple.

  • Start your 20 km trek to Kedarnath (doli or horse hire at extra cost).
  • Kedarnath is where the Mandakini River originates.
  • After arriving in Kedarnath, check into the government camps/lodges.
  • Dinner and overnight at Kedarnath camps/lodges (basic accommodation).

  • Early morning, visit Kedarnath Temple for darshan.
  • Return to the camps/lodges after pooja.
  • Begin the 20 km return trek from Kedarnath to Sonprayag.
  • Drive back to Guptkashi after reaching Sonprayag.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Guptkashi.

  • After breakfast, drive to Badrinath via Joshimath.
  • Check into your hotel upon arrival.
  • Visit the Tapt Kund (Hot Spring) and take a dip before going to the Badrinath Temple.
